Hi, I’m Amanda, the photographer behind Amanda Ruch Photography, and I’m so happy you’re here!
For the past 11 years, I’ve had the joy of capturing people, moments, and memories... For me, photography has always been about more than creating beautiful images—it’s about seeing the world a little differently and noticing the moments that might otherwise pass us by.
Whether I’m photographing a senior celebrating a huge milestone, an event full of energy and emotion, or an athlete giving it their all, I love being there to capture the moments that tell your story. Sometimes they’re the big, obvious moments, and sometimes they’re the tiny ones you didn’t even realize were happening (those are often my favorites).
I want being in front of my camera to feel easy. You don’t need to know how to pose, and you definitely don’t need to be a professional model! I’ll guide you when you need direction, encourage you when you need a little confidence boost, and give you plenty of space to simply be yourself. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, have fun, and walk away thinking, “That was actually so much easier than I expected.”
When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me balancing a few of my other favorite things. I’m a full-time algebra teacher, a dog mom, a DIY enthusiast, gardener, and avid reader. Teaching has taught me a lot about patience, encouragement, and meeting people where they are—and those things have become just as important to the way I photograph my clients.
I’m based in Central New Jersey and am always happy to travel for the right story, event, or adventure.
At the end of the day, I don’t just want to give you photographs you love. I want to give you a way to remember how this moment in your life felt—the people who were there, the little things you might otherwise forget, and the memories that become more meaningful with time.
